Lockbox Care & Maintenance
Setting the Code
Default Code: 0-0-0-0.
Setting New Code:
- Set dials to 0-0-0-0
- Push down on silver button
- Open box while holding down the silver button
- Slide the reset pin to the right (located on the inside of the front lockbox) – so that it stays in position
- Use dials to select the new code
- Slide the reset pin back and to the left (its the original position)
- Open the lock box using the new code
*Note your new (for future reference)
Preventing Sticking & Freezing
- Limit Exposure to Elements: Hang in location protected from rain and snow
- Freezing Weather: During cold weather cover lockbox with a bag or towel
- Inside Storage: Store lockbox inside during periods of time lockbox is not in use
Best Practice Key Storage
- Use for Back Up Keys Only: do NOT put your only set of keys inside
- Small Solid Key Ring: Attach keys to small solid key ring
- Place Keys Flat: Place keys in lockbox flat and facing the same direction. (bunching keys can cause jamming)
- Multiple Sets: If anyone other than OUG! will be using the lockbox, consider adding additional sets of keys
New Code or Lockbox Location
Location or Code Changes: Update us when changes have been made to your lockbox location or code
Testing before Visits
Prior to scheduling visits, test your lockbox and keys
Back-Up Plan
Have an update Back-Up Plan to ensure we can visit your furry friend, just in case your lockbox sticks, freezes, or jams.
